About this Position: The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, Oklahoma State University (OSU) College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) invites applications for a full-time clinical-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Equine Ambulatory Medicine. If you have a passion for training the next generation of equine veterinarians, providing service to rural communities and want to work in a collegial and supportive environment, this is the position for you. You would be joining a team of one equine ambulatory clinician, three equine surgeons, three equine internists, five theriogenologists and three large animal emergency clinicians. Responsibilities will include clinical teaching and clinical service while contributing to the re-building of an Equine Ambulatory Service at the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, extension and community outreach as part of our rural initiative, and didactic lectures and laboratory instruction for veterinary students. Applicants must have a DVM or equivalent veterinary degree, a minimum of five years of experience in equine practice and/or residency training in large animal internal medicine, large animal surgery, sports medicine, or equine practice and certification by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM LAIM), American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS), American College of Veterinary Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation (ACVSMR), or American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP). Candidates qualified to take the ACVIM, ACVS, ACVSMR, or ABVP certification examination are encouraged to apply. Interest and clinical experience in routine equine theriogenology are desirable. Eligibility for faculty licensure in Oklahoma is required. Ability to obtain an Oklahoma driver’s license is required. Candidates certified by comparable EBVS recognized Colleges are encouraged to apply.
