Scholarly activity and participation in collaborative research commensurate with a non-tenure track faculty position will be expected. The successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to clinical experiential, didactic, laboratory, and small group instruction of DVM students. The successful candidate will also be engaged with instruction of interns and residents.

The VMCVM has four campuses: Blacksburg, VA - Main campus at Virginia Tech; Leesburg, VA - Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center; Roanoke, VA - Animal Cancer Care and Research Center; College Park, MD - University of Maryland. Blacksburg is a friendly university town in southwest Virginia near the Blue Ridge Mountains, less than 20 miles from the Appalachian Trail and Jefferson National Forest, and within driving proximity to major metropolitan cities.
