Department Summary

The Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition is part of Boston Children's Hospital, ranked as one of the top children's hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Key responsibilities

  • Working in our busy Gastrointestinal and Renal Sub-specialty programs caring for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with illnesses affected the GI or Renal systems.
  • Receiving and/or registering patients, visitors and staff for appointments.
  • Collecting, verifying and recording required information, obtaining records, files and/or results for appointments and entering related information on appropriate computer systems.
  • Assisting clinician during examinations; obtaining, measuring and recording routine information such as temperature and blood pressure, weights, heights and lengths. Collecting specimens.
  • Performing other related duties according to specific needs of clinic.
  • Working 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday in Needham with occ rotation to Boston.

Minimum qualifications

Education:

  • A HS Diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 1 year of Clinical Assistant experience or related healthcare experience.
  • Pediatric experience strongly preferred.

Please note: During a public health emergency, individuals in this role may be expected to take on additional duties to respond to organizational needs.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
