Clinical Assistant Professor (Physical Assistant Studies Program)
Job Summary
The Physician Assistant (PA) Program Principal Faculty member is responsible for contributing to the design, delivery, and assessment of the PA curriculum under the direction and supervision of the Program Director. Faculty members support the academic mission of the program by teaching, advising students, participating in assessment and remediation processes, contributing to committee work, and assisting with program operations.
This position plays an active role in maintaining compliance with ARC-PA Standards in delivering a high-quality educational experience.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
Teaching and Instruction (Didactic and Clinical) Responsibilities
- Teach assigned didactic courses and deliver content through lectures, labs, simulation, small-group discussions, and case-based learning.
- Provide clinical instruction in physical examination, clinical procedures, patient interviewing, diagnostic reasoning, and clinical documentation.
- Develop syllabi, assessments, exams, OSCE materials, and instructional resources that align with program outcomes and current clinical practice.
Required Education / Experience
- Master's degree as a Physician Assistant.
- Current NCCPA certification and eligibility for state licensure (if PA)
- Experience in clinical practice and/or health professions education.
