"Clinical Associate/Assistant Professor, FNP"

Job Summary

The School of Nursing at The University of Texas at Tyler invites applicants to apply for a full-time non-tenure-track, clinical assistant / associate professor faculty position at rank and salary commensurate with experience. The 9-month contract includes the option to work in summer as the nursing program is offered year-round. DNP Positions are available at our Tyler campus and includes online instruction. Review of applications will begin immediately, and the positions will remain open until filled. The UT Tyler DNP Program is highly respected and innovative. DNP faculty work closely together as a team to help students learn the process of quality improvement and dissemination.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary teaching responsibilities in a nationally accredited graduate nursing program
• Maintaining active FNP practice in congruence with UT Tyler's policies
• Mentoring and advising students
• Participating in School and University service and activities
• Moderating OSCEs once a semester with the FNP faculty group
• Maintain regular on-campus presence.
• Attend departmental meetings.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate in Nursing in a nationally accredited graduate nursing program
• FNP certification with at least two (2) years of experience as a FNP
• Licensure in Texas
• Evidence of program of scholarship

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate teaching experience
