"Clinical Chemist in Training"

Job Summary: This four-year training program develops you into a clinical chemist while working in an inspiring environment across Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei, Radboudumc, Rijnstate, and Dicoon. You contribute to high-quality diagnostics and research, with opportunities for personal growth.

Responsibilities: Work with various analysis techniques for samples like blood, urine, feces, liquor, and semen. Participate in diagnostics for daily patient care and complex cases. Interpret laboratory results, link them to clinical specialties, and advise on follow-up diagnostics. Conduct independent scientific research aligned with your interests. Work primarily during the day, with on-call duties approximately once every 4 to 6 weeks outside office hours. The program includes rotations: first year at Ziekenhuis Gelderse Vallei, second at Radboudumc, third at Rijnstate, and fourth managing a laboratory component with a profile choice such as medical leadership, methodology, data skills, or technology.

Qualifications and Requirements: Hold a university master's degree in (bio)chemistry, pharmacy, medicine, or (medical) biology. Have at least two years of research experience in laboratory medicine, preferably with a PhD. Demonstrate accuracy, structure, strong analytical skills, curiosity, independence, eagerness to learn, and excellent communication skills in Dutch (both oral and written). Be social, enjoy team work, and be willing to take on leadership in the final phase of the training.

What the Employer Offers: A temporary contract for four years at 36 hours per week. Salary in scale 4 according to the Hospitals Collective Labor Agreement, ranging from €4,637 to €5,812 gross per month for a full-time position. Additional benefits include an end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, holiday allowance of 8.33%, participation in PFZW pension fund, discounts on sports subscriptions, mattress, bike, mobile or laptop, and study cost reimbursement.
