outpatient Neurophysiology laboratory at IU Health. The adjoining IU School of Medicine Neurosciences Research Building enables clinicians, basic scientists, and clinician-scientists to collaborate in an environment that is rarely achieved in academic medicine.
Job SummaryDepartment-Specific Responsibilities
- Advises and collaborates with the residency program directors on curriculum, accreditation requirements, resident work hours, compliance, scheduling, and educational initiatives.
- Serves as continuing medical education (CME) liaison and supports Clinical Competency and Program Evaluation Committees.
- Supports department leadership in maintaining accreditation and educational requirements, including Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), institutional, health system, and medical school reviews.
- Develops systems for educational assessment, performance reporting, instructional support, resident orientation, faculty development, and residency recruitment.
- Develops, maintains, and evaluates faculty, resident, and residency program evaluation systems, including data collection tools and reporting processes, to support continuous program improvement.
- Supervises the Education Coordinator, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, training, timekeeping, performance management, and remote work oversight for adult and pediatric neurology residency program operations.
- Represents the education administration on departmental, hospital, medical school, graduate medical education (GME), and external committees.
- Supports educational infrastructure and initiatives; compiles and presents resident performance data for the Clinical Competency Committee and semi-annual faculty reviews. Participates in relevant national neurology organizations.
General Responsibilities
- Identifies areas for programmatic improvement and develops and implements initiatives to address weaknesses.
- Establishes program-specific policies and procedures for candidate recruitment.
- Acts as a liaison between internal and external constituents; develops and manages external relationships with the medical community.
- Creates research opportunities and tracks progress ensuring learning opportunities for students and residents.
- Responsible for logistics of the student and resident program. Counsels residents concerning board requirements, adjusting schedules to meet requirements.
- Constructs action plans and puts processes in place for managing performance expectations in the unit based on goals and deadlines.
- Ensures the maintenance of all relevant program accreditations.

EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree (preferably in medical education or a related field).

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment.
