About the opportunity:
The UC Health Clinics is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapy Clinical Educator to lead student-led services for children and young people. This role focuses on a holistic approach to enhancing the occupational participation of school-aged children and young adults. It offers an exciting opportunity to combine client-focused care with student education, using an evidence-based framework that supports community needs.
This is a fixed-term position for 12 months, up to 0.9 FTE, with flexible working arrangements available. The role reports to the Clinical Convenor and forms part of the multidisciplinary clinical services team.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Deliver clinical education and support for occupational therapy students in the UC Health Clinics.
- Provide high-quality clinical education & supervision
- Work with the UC Health Clinic multidisciplinary team to develop interprofessional learning opportunities
- Coordinate student timetables and manage client caseloads to ensure continuity of care.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with community organisations to expand student-led services.
- Assessment for students on placement with a focus on services for school aged children and young adults (with a focus on neurodiversity)
About you:
To be considered for this position, you will have:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in clinical education and supervision
- Clear communication skills with strong stakeholder management
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines with diverse team dynamics
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and student development
