Clinical Educator RN
Job Summary
The Clinical Educator RN carries out a plan of educational activities to enhance, promote, and maintain the standard of care within the hospital.
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Critical Tasks
- Maintains established standards of practice, implements professional development educational training for professional growth, and coordinates continuous comprehensive educational activities and research for employees.
- Develops and provides educational programs to improve critical thinking and professional skills of the staff at the bedside and in the management arenas.
- Assesses and identifies learning needs, plans and implements appropriate interventions, and evaluates the effectiveness of actions.
- Utilizes the values and principles of UT Health East Texas to develop unit-based educational activities and evaluates the effectiveness of these activities on an ongoing basis by assessing changes in clinical performance and improved customer satisfaction.
- Implements financial accountability for ongoing unit-based educational activities and evaluates outcomes based on learner feedback and budgetary guidelines.

Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - BSN required
- Current Texas License as a Registered Nurse
- BLS from AHA
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing
- Prefer minimum of two years of management/teaching experience
- Familiarity with the organization and functions of other disciplines within the hospital
- Minimum of five years of Acute Care clinical experience
