Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are functions essential to perform this job:
- Apply established principles, policies, and procedures consistently in accordance with assigned PTA program, and Frederick Community College.
- Provide clinical instruction and supervision of students.
- Evaluate student performance in the clinical skills.
- Maintain clinical skills within the designated area of responsibility.
- Establish weekly communication with assigned course coordinator.
- Engage students in critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal workplace skills.
- Infuse diverse, multicultural perspectives into the instructional process.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate Degree
- Licensed Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant
- Three (3) years of full-time work experience as a PT or PTA
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior classroom teaching experience
- Ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
Work Schedule: Between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Exact hours are to be determined depending on clinical schedule.
