Description:
- Perform diagnostic tests on patient specimens in Physician Office Laboratories: Conduct tests on automated Hematology, Chemistry, Special Chemistry and Molecular Diagnostic instruments.
- Operate and maintain equipment: Calibrate, control and perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on laboratory instruments.
- Analyze and interpret results: Review and accept patient results in a laboratory information system and alert providers to critical results.
- Document and report: Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests, procedures, and results and communicate findings to physicians.
- Conduct quality assurance and compliance procedures: Adhere to CLIA and OSHA guidelines, provide technical direction to other lab staff, perform and document quality control and corrective actions.
- Active Clinical Laboratory Scientist Certificate
- B.S. in Clinical Laboratory Science or related field
