Position Summary:
The Graduate Program Clinical Manager leads the clinical placement process and provides support for graduate-level nursing students, including those in advanced practice and doctoral programs. This role ensures that clinical experiences align with advanced practice standards and program objectives while maintaining strong partnerships with clinical sites and preceptors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Major areas of responsibilities include but not limited to:
Administration and leadership (100%)
- Coordinate clinical placements for graduate nursing students, including MSN, post-master certificate, and DNP practice programs.
- Identify and secure clinical sites and preceptors that meet the requirements for advanced nursing practice.
- Monitor and ensure student compliance with credential requirements, including licensure, immunizations, and certifications.
- Develop and deliver training and resources for preceptors to support effective student supervision.
- Collaborate with faculty to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical sites and preceptor contributions.
- Address and resolve any issues related to clinical placements, student performance, or site availability.
- Maintain and update clinical placement databases and tracking systems.
- Ensure that clinical experiences meet accreditation and program requirements for advanced practice nursing.
- Supervise and provide leadership to Clinical Coordination Team members, ensuring effective oversight of clinical operations.
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
Education and experience
- Registered Nurse (RN), eligible for licensure in California, preferred.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in nursing or other related field; APRN certification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in advanced nursing practice, nursing education, healthcare administration, or clinical coordination.
Skills:
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of Pre-licensure/Undergraduate nursing education requirements and Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation standards as well as state boards of nursing and other regulatory agencies.
- Excellent customer relations
Abilities:
- Ability to function effectively as an academic leader, member of a team, and independently.
- Ability to receive detailed information through verbal and written communication.
- Ability to read and write clear documents.
- Hand and finger dexterity for computer, text, calculator, copy machine, and telephone use.
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word in person or on the telephone.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid position: This is a hybrid position, and in-office attendance will vary depending on meetings, events, and other needs.
- Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic academic setting.

Exemption Status: United States of America (Exempt)
Time Type: Full time
Pay Range:
Pay Range $89,000 to $99,630 (exempt)
