Your next career opportunity

In this role, you will help lead a first-in-human surgical device trial from inception to delivery. You will shape trial governance, ethics, data systems and publications, while collaborating with clinicians, engineers and scientists. You will build a strong platform for a clinical research or med tech leadership career.

What you will deliver:

• Lead key start-up activities for a first-in-human medical device trial, including protocol development and ethics submissions.
• Establish and maintain trial-specific SOPs, governance frameworks and compliance processes aligned with regulatory and audit requirements.
• Design case report forms and oversee data capture systems to ensure accurate, complete and high-quality trial data.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, supporting site readiness, recruitment activities and ongoing trial monitoring.
• Contribute to systematic reviews, manuscripts and other scholarly outputs that disseminate trial findings and related research.

You may be a great fit if:

• Hold a PhD in a clinical, biological or other healthcare-related discipline.
• Demonstrate hands-on experience in clinical trial governance, including protocol development and coordination of trial operations.
• Prepare and submit high-quality HREC applications and associated governance documentation for clinical research.
• Develop case report forms, data collection tools and trial-specific SOPs that meet Good Clinical Practice requirements.
• Maintain current GCP certification and apply it to ensure compliant, audit-ready trial conduct and documentation.
• Bring additional strengths such as REDCap or database development skills, first-in-human or orthopaedic trial experience, or risk management.
