Prepare simulation equipment, manikins, and lab spaces prior to sessions and ensure proper cleanup afterward.Operate and troubleshoot simulation technology.Collaborate with faculty and simulation staff to deliver effective, evidence-based learning experiences.Assist in guiding students through simulation scenarios, reinforcing critical thinking and clinical reasoning.Participate in maintaining simulation supplies, equipment, and inventory.Support ongoing quality improvement of simulation activities.Perform other duties as assigned.SUPERVISION RECEIVED:General supervision is received from the Simulation Lab Coordinator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in nursing); will consider a bachelor's in a related or applicable field.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn new simulation and audiovisual technologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Experience and ability to positively interact with all members of the campus community
- Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodations.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field.
- Previous experience in nursing education, simulation facilitation, or clinical instruction.
- Familiarity with simulation software and high-fidelity manikins.
WORKING CONDITIONS:- Duties are generally performed inside and not exposed to adverse conditions.
- All work associated with this role must be performed within the state of Michigan.
