Clinical Research Assistant - Internal Medicine (Weight Management)
Job Description Summary: The Clinical Research Assistant in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Physical Activity & Weight Management, will contribute to research focused on exercise and physical activity to advance studies on obesity treatment and related chronic health conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and kidney disease.
Job Duties:
- Serve as an exercise specialist to deliver intervention sessions related to exercise and physical activity according to research study protocols.
- Assist with conducting outcome testing that may include vital signs, anthropometric measurements and body composition, cardiorespiratory fitness, strength, physical function, and others.
- Schedule participants for research intervention sessions.
- Assist with recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities of participants.
- Maintain accurate and detailed participant records through timely documentation and data entry, in compliance with university policies and applicable standards.
- Complete required research trainings and maintain compliance with institutional retraining policies.
- Adhere to all research protocols and comply with ethical guidelines and institutional regulations.

Required Qualifications: Work Experience: Two years relevant work experience. Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certifications/Licenses: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Professional certification related to exercise or physical activity through an accredited entity.
Work Experience: Experience working in a clinical or research setting; Experience supervising participants with exercise training in both one-on-one and group settings.
Skills: Communication; Interpersonal skills; Organization; Attention to detail; Computer skills; Collaboration.
