Job Description Summary
The Clinical Research Coordinator A will work collaboratively with the Project Manager, peer-level team members, and Investigators to support research activities across multiple clinical trials and departments. These projects span a range of disciplines, including Emergency Medicine, Trauma Surgery, Neurology, and others. Key responsibilities include screening and enrolling research participants, maintaining regulatory compliance, abstracting and entering data, developing study materials, coordinating conference calls and meetings, assisting with staff training, and performing additional duties as assigned. This position includes a weekly on-call component and requires availability for evening and weekend work.
Position is contingent upon continued funding.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate studies in conjunction with principal investigators, enroll subjects and maintain patient databases. Meet with PIs to discuss data analysis, data collection and related activities
- Assist with writing abstracts and research papers, preparation of posters and other presentation materials
- Maintain regulatory compliance for emergency medicine research studies as assigned. Assist with preparation and processing of all Institutional Review Board (IRB) documentation through HS-ERA, including submissions, continuing reviews, amendments and adverse event reporting.
- Prepare screening and enrollment packets and develop training materials for studies as required
- Assist with the training of clinical staff about new and ongoing research studies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Candidate must have strong initiative, excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required. Proficiency in REDCap and or clinical data systems is preferred. Variable hours of duty (i.e., day, evening, and/or weekend hours) may be necessary. Limited travel may be needed.
