Clinical research in Mood Disorders

Clinical research in Mood Disorders

The Faculty of Medicine and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are collaborating in a clinical research study, led locally by Professor David Baldwin, investigating the effects of transcranial direct current stimulation in patients with depression. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate with strong research and organisational skills to develop their expertise. Applications are invited from enthusiastic early-stage researchers to join the research team.

The post involves undergoing training in certain psychopathological rating scales, providing study information and assessing potential study participants, monitoring participant progress during the study, entering data into on-line systems, assisting with study awareness-raising, and attendance at local and national research team meetings. The appointee joins an existing research team, working on this and other studies. They would ensure that the study is undertaken in accordance with Good Clinical Practice and other regulatory standards.
