Clinical Rotation Coordinator (Location: Marietta)
Job Summary
This position primarily assists the Campus Assistant Dean for Curriculum for the Wellstar Kennestone Campus in the support of students assigned to that campus.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Make personal visits to MCG’s medical students completing their clinical in community-based settings to assure their experiences are satisfactory and in compliance with MCG’s clinical requirements.
- Provide verbal and written reports to the Campus Assistant Dean for Curriculum as to the activity of students in the area and their progress.
- Assist the Campus Assistant Dean for Curriculum for the Wellstar Kennestone campus to identify, recruit and support clinical teaching faculty in the Wellstar Kennestone system.
- Track attendance, coordinate, and proctor assignments/quizzes/exams for campus students.
- Create and maintain an internet interface as a student reference guide. Work with MCG communications team to keep website updated with pertinent information regarding Wellstar Kennestone Campus updates and student support endeavors in the region.
- Coordinate regularly scheduled meetings with students and clinical faculty.
- Assist with the preparation of presentation to community organizations, schools and universities in support of recruiting students to MCG and strengthening the regional campus efforts.
- Perform all other work assignments and/or special projects as directed. All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, along with three years of directly related program experience in a hospital or academic setting to include directly related clinical rotation programs experience OR Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, along with six years of directly related program experience in a hospital or academic setting to include directly related clinical rotation programs experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of MCG Admissions policies and procedures. Experience speaking to large crowds and working with different segments of the population. Preferred Educational Qualifications: Master’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Media and communications experience, including the production of print materials.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
ABILITIES: Excellent customer service, interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational and verbal/written communication skills; Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) and other computer software/databases. Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines despite often interruptions, maintain confidentiality, keep accurate records and make independent decisions. Excellent verbal/written, interpersonal, and presentational communications skills. Experience in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software/databases. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Possession of a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel, including some evenings, weekends, and overnight.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days: Monday-Friday. Pay Band: 7. Salary: $42,200/annually - $52,700/annually. Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position. Recruitment Period: 2/10/25 Until Filled. Conditions of Employment
