The School of Medicine's Department of Emergency Medicine has an opening for a full-time University Staff (unclassified) Clinical Science Professional (Open Rank: Entry-Senior) position.

Clinical Science Professionals perform clinical research related functions which may include patient-oriented research or research conducted with human subjects... The Department of Emergency Medicine seeks motivated applicants for the position of Clinical Science Professional. This role will engage patients, families, and clinical staff at the University of Colorado Hospital, manage study start-up and documentation for clinical trials, collaborate with clinical and research teams working to improve care of critically ill and injured patients. The projects focus on patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units with critically ill patients, including covid-19, Influenza, sepsis, major trauma and acute respiratory failure.

Note: This is an essential services position. The incumbent is required to respond after hours during emergencies and report to work for regular assigned shifts during emergency campus closures.

Salary and Benefits

Entry Professional: $47,084 to $59,891

Intermediate Professional: $51,239 to $65,176

Senior Professional: $55,393 to $70,460

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Entry Professional: Bachelor's degree in any field (substitutable)

Intermediate Professional: Bachelor's + 1 year clinical research

Senior Professional: Bachelor's + 2 years clinical research

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's in science or health related field
• Experience with electronic data capture systems

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of federal regulations and GCP
• Excellent communication skills
