"Clinical Supervisor"

The Clinical Supervisor will work closely with the program director to support four to eight social workers and/or substance use counselors in delivering culturally responsive, trauma-informed and person-centered patient services. The incumbent provides clinical supervision for staff as they support patients working towards changing their substance use and improving the quality of their daily lives in an outpatient clinic setting.

The incumbent ensures accountability and stewardship of UCSF Dept. of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences resources (operational, financial, and human) in compliance with departmental, government, and accrediting body standards and procedures. A portion of time may be spent performing individual tasks related to the clinic such as individual counseling, de-escalation, care coordination and other intake services; however, supervisory and oversight of team operations constitute the primary part of the job. The incumbent will collaborate with the program directors, medical director, and other staff on program policy, program evaluation, and process improvement. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $115,500 - $173,300 (Annual Rate).
