- <p> <strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Set up and operate CNC router machines to cut plastic materials per job specifications </li><li>Load, position, and secure plastic sheets or components on the machine </li><li>Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and CAD drawings </li><li>Adjust machine settings (speed, feed rate, tooling) based on material type and thickness </li><li>Select appropriate cutting tools for plastics to prevent melting, chipping, or warping </li><li>Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed for quality and accuracy </li><li>Inspect finished parts using measuring tools to ensure they meet specifications </li><li>Perform trimming, deburring, and finishing of plastic components </li><li>Conduct routine machine maintenance and cleaning </li><li>Troubleshoot minor issues and report major concerns to the supervisor </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work environment </li></ul><h3><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h3><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Experience operating CNC routers or similar machinery preferred </li><li>Familiarity with plastic materials (acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, etc.) is a plus </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings </li><li>Basic math and measurement skills </li><li>Strong attention to detail and quality </li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods </li></ul><h3><strong>Preferred Skills:</strong></h3><ul><li>Basic knowledge of CNC programming (G-code) </li><li>Experience with CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, or similar) </li><li>Understanding of cutting speeds/feeds specific to plastics </li><li>Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills</li></ul><p>This job description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
