Position:
The College of Education invites applications for a tenure-track, 9-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Early Childhood Education. Preferred start date is August, 2026.

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in early childhood education, child development, curriculum and instruction, teacher education, or related fields. ABD applicants with on-going progress will be considered, if all degree requirements are complete by June 1, 2027. Commitment to excellence in teaching. Evidence of sustained commitment to working in partnership with public schools, children and families and/or other early childhood setting. Demonstrated success or potential to teach a wide variety of early childhood and/or gifted education courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. As we transition to a Research 2 university, the successful candidate will demonstrate the potential to develop a strong body of scholarship using an innovative, collaborative, or interdisciplinary research agenda. Applicants are expected to have three or more years’ experience working in public schools, Head Start programs, and/or other early childhood settings.

Salary and Benefits:
Targeted Salary Range: $70,000 commensurate with experience
