The Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking an exceptional individual for the role of Cohen Endowed Chair in Neurodegeneration Research, at the Associate or Full Professor level. This tenure track, leadership position, reporting to Dr. Benjamin Segal, MD, Chair of Neurology and Director of the Neuroscience Research Institute, offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead groundbreaking research initiatives in neurodegenerative disorders.
Potential areas of exploration include neurogenetics, electrophysiology, biomarkers, preclinical, in vitro and/or in silico models of neurodegenerative disease, neuropathology, neuropsychology, clinical trials, and Health Services Research/Epidemiology.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Rank of Associate Professor or Professor (M.D./Ph.D., Ph.D., or M.D.), at an academic medical center
- An active, investigator initiated research program supported by extramural grants
- A robust, externally funded research program with a focus on neurodegenerative disorders
- A prolific publication record and global recognition in the field
- Proven leadership abilities in program development, mentorship, and faculty recruitment
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
