The Role

The College Dining Services invites applications for a permanent Part-time College Waiter position, to work in all aspects of food service delivery within the College. As a valued Dining Services team member, you will work with both permanent and casual members of staff to provide a high level of service to the College and its guests, including student dining, College feasts, staff food, weddings, conference business and special dinners. You will have some experience in good customer service as a waiter or at supervisor level, good attention to detail and the ability to provide all types of services in a friendly and welcoming manner.

This is a permanent part-time role, 20-hours per week (working approx.. 4 hours per day/evening, 5 days/evenings out of 7 per week).

PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A PERMANENT POSITION AND IS NOT A CASUAL/SEASONAL ROLE which requires someone able to work flexibly as the rota is changeable on a weekly basis and will require your availability for daytimes and evenings (Monday to Sunday).

NB this role is not suitable for those with current education commitments.

The salary for the post is £13,218 per annum (£26,436 FTE).

The College

Gonville & Caius College is one of the largest Colleges in the University of Cambridge. It is an educational charity, and its mission is to provide a place of education, religion, learning and research, in conjunction with a University that is recognised internationally as being of the highest standard.

The College is an academic community comprising some 530 undergraduate students, 250 graduate students, and 110 Fellows (lecturers, professors and other senior academic researchers and teachers) and almost 200 staff.
