Communication Graphic Designer
Advertised Job Summary
The Communications Graphic Designer will work as part of the team responsible for SC TEACHER’s communications brand and the expansion and implementation of communications strategies and policies to support the strategic goals of SC TEACHER. As part of the communications team, this position will have responsibilities spanning research report design; creation of graphics for social media, marketing, and team presentations; and event preparation and setup, along with other opportunities to support overall communications and operations.
Job Duties
- Graphic Design (40%): Execute and coordinate graphic design of research materials such as monthly reports and data visualization. Collaborate with members of communications and research teams to take ideas from early draft to full design, both print and online, using design principles and brand adherence.
- Marketing Materials Creation (30%): Design and support creation of marketing materials such as postcards, handouts, flyers, and event materials, in accordance with the SC TEACHER brand and team goals. Support brand development through graphic design and visual assets.
- Event Preparation and Coordination (20%): Collaborate with event facilitators, operations team, and communications team to prep necessary materials for SC TEACHER events, such as swag, handouts, branded décor, and items for facilitation.
- Project Management (10%): Contribute to the team’s overall organization and efficiency by tracking project goals and steps in project management system (Basecamp).
