Proactively work with departments and subject matter experts to
generate content that is compelling, accurate and consistent with
the university's messaging and brand standards.
Social Media
- Help craft CAM's social media strategy and voice.
- Maintain social media calendars.
- Stay up to date on current trends, best practices, and new
technology.
Website
- Manage and update existing content on the college's website,
including department and program pages.
- Create new webpages as needed, in collaboration with the
marketing and communications program director.
- Regularly review and audit and make updates as needed.
General Support
- Provide communications support for college events, student
recruitment efforts, outreach activities, and special
projects.
- Support college branding and promotional initiatives by
implementing marketing plans, maintaining brand consistency, and
collaborating with internal and external partners.
- Support documentation of processes and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications you already possess (Minimum
Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of
hire.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, or
related liberal arts field from an accredited institution
- One (1) year of professional experience in a related field
(journalism, copywriting, content writing, communications
roles)
Substitution: A combination of education and related
professional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's
degree on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred
Qualifications)
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with marketing and/or social media content
generation.
- Journalism experience.
- Experience with Drupal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of grammar, editing, and AP style
guidelines; knowledge of the Denver arts and entertainment
scene.
- Skills: Outstanding customer service and communication skills;
detail oriented; strong collaboration skills.
- Ability: Ability to multi-task between multiple projects and
deadlines; ability to adhere to brand standards while creating
creative and high-quality deliverables.
- Talents: Creative thinker.
Conditions of Employment
- Occasional work during the evening and/or weekends may be
required.
- This position follows a hybrid work structure where employees
can work remotely or from the office, as needed, based on demands
of specific tasks or personal work preferences. Working from the
office is encouraged when working on tasks that require a high
degree of collaboration.
Mental, Physical, and/or Environmental Requirements
- The ability to sit for extended periods, stand and walk
occasionally, reach with hands and arms, use hands to manipulate a
keyboard and mouse, and have good near vision for computer work;
often requiring minimal lifting, but may involve bending or
reaching to retrieve items from shelves or drawers.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been
established at $59,400 – $62,000.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set
based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to,
internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and
training.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the
University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of
possible compensation at the time of posting.This position is/is
not eligible for overtime compensation.Your total compensation goes
beyond the number on your paycheck. The University of Colorado
