Job Duties:
The Golda Meir Library seeks a part-time Communications Manager to develop and implement its communication strategies and plans. The position reports to the Library Director. Application requires submission of a writing portfolio.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages the day-to-day communication plans to align with strategic initiatives and meet established objectives
- Plans, writes, and edits compelling content for various communication projects and marketing platforms
- Coordinates the upkeep of the library's website, social media, and other digital communication platforms
- Plans and directs unit programs and/or projects to ensure deadlines and budgets are met
- Identifies, proposes, and implements new or revised unit operational policies and procedures
- Develops, implements, and delivers communication and marketing materials through various mediums to designated audiences
- Serves as the library's liaison to Marketing & Communications, Advancement, and other UWM units on communication matters
- Assists in event planning

Compensation:
$43,120 - $55,000 (Pro-rated for 0.8 FTE). Salary offered will be based on experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or other relevant field
- Evidence of excellent written communication skills
- Demonstrated job experience with web content management systems
- Demonstrated job experience managing social media platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience in professional writing, communications, journalism, or marketing
- Experience with WordPress
- Experience managing professional Facebook and Instagram accounts
- Experience with Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop, Adobe Express, and Illustrator
Education:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English or other relevant field.
