The Opportunity
UniSC Clinical Trials (CT) delivers innovative, regionally relevant research while building the region’s clinical research capacity. We collaborate with healthcare professionals, pharmaceutical partners, and other key stakeholders to advance clinical trials and enhance community impact.
As Community and Media Engagement Manager, you will develop and grow UniSC CT’s digital communities, manage social media channels, and build our media presence. You’ll work closely with the Manager, Marketing & Brand, and the wider marketing and communications team to create engaging content, maintain positive stakeholder relationships, and ensure UniSC CT’s profile remains visible and impactful across traditional, digital, and social media.

You will
- build and manage online communities and social media channels to engage stakeholders and promote UniSC CT’s activities;
- develop and coordinate media content, including news releases, visual assets, and campaign materials, in collaboration with the marketing team; and
- support staff and internal stakeholders to communicate effectively with media, community, and industry partners.
About you
You are experienced in media, communications, or marketing, with a proven ability to manage digital communities and produce engaging content. You enjoy collaborating with colleagues, have strong writing and organisational skills, and can work proactively to deliver communications that align with organisational goals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to promoting UniSC CT’s profile and impact.
You will possess:
- Degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, or equivalent experience;
- Proven experience managing online communities and delivering digital engagement strategies;
- Strong writing, media liaison, and content creation skills;
- Understanding of media processes and the ability to plan and respond effectively to media requests;
- Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder engagement abilities; and
- Experience in coordinating multi-channel marketing campaigns and producing content across text, image, and video formats.
