Position Highlights

The successful candidate will conduct outreach activities, events, and will work as the lead of a team to plan and implement hearing, vision, and developmental screening outreach events and screenings with supervisory responsibilities of the data input member of the team. This involves coordinating with multiple community partners across Pinal County. The successful candidate will be required to attend trainings to become certified to use required screening equipment.

The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

This position is located in Casa Grande.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and leads outreach strategies with public school districts, private and charter schools, municipal entities, and private individuals to establish and expand screening sites, including but not limited identifying and prioritizing very rural areas of the county with limited access to services.
  • Designs and implements calendar scheduling and management systems for the Developmental and Sensory Screening team activities to optimize service delivery and resource allocation.
  • Conducts comprehensive interviews and assessments with parents and children (with consent) age zero to five to obtain health history, weight, and height.
  • Performs and interprets vision and hearing screenings, leads developmental screening processes, and develops individualized referral plans to medical home and other community resources, ensuring appropriate follow-up coordination.
  • Designs and delivers parent/caregiver/Early Childhood Directors and Educators education programs related to hearing, vision, and developmental screenings for young children; utilizing multiple modalities including in person, text, and phone communication.
  • Develops and implements training curricula for new staff and community partners, evaluating effectiveness and making continuous improvements to educational content and delivery methods.
  • Develops and manages inventory management systems and requisition processes for supplies to ensure uninterrupted program operations.
  • Establishes and enforces clean and hygienic standards for equipment and environment in compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective actions as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Work, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience required, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience in early childhood vocation or technical training.
