Community Partnerships Manager

University of Leeds - National Institute of Health and Care Research

Location:Leeds
Salary:£41,064 to £48,822 per annum
Hours:Full Time
Contract Type:Permanent
Placed On:18th September 2025
Closes:1st October 2025
Job Ref:MHNCC1689

Do you want to be part of a national network supporting the delivery of health and care research across England? Are you able to effectively lead a programme of activities designed to increase inclusion, accessibility and diversity of the public in research participation? Do you have experience in engaging people and communities affected by health inequalities?

You will be responsible for leading a programme of activities designed to increase inclusion, accessibility and diversity of the public in research participation. This will involve supporting, managing and leading programmes of work together with the public and our partners across the research system. You will engage with community-based organisations and under-served community groups, with an aim to increase awareness and participation in health and care research studies. Working closely with colleagues from across the RDN and RRDNs, you will manage and co-design programmes of activity focused on community engagement, research inclusion and improving accessibility and participation in research for under-served communities. The role will include the design, coordination and facilitation of both national and regional workshops, public events, co-production of resources and the provision of RDN-wide community engagement and public engagement training.

You will work collaboratively with colleagues within the RDNCC and, as required, across the RDN and the University of Leeds, and with external stakeholders in a host of settings. You will support the operational delivery of the organisation-wide shift in ways of working and culture that is required to ensure the network functions as a single organisation with a shared purpose and vision across England, as well as mutually supporting colleagues through the period of transformation and beyond.

This role will be based in the RDNCC office on Queen Street, Leeds. We work in a hybrid way with an expectation that all RDNCC staff spend at least 40% of their time office. We are also open to discussing other flexible working arrangements.

Please note: this role may involve occasional evening and weekend work and travel across England.

Please note: the successful applicant will be required to give consent for the University to check their criminal record status and all applicants must declare if they have any ‘unspent’ criminal offences, including those pending.
