Compliance Management Analyst I (Policy Coordination), Institutional Compliance and Risk Services
Job Summary
The Compliance Management Analyst I assists the Director of Institutional Compliance with the development, implementation, and operation of UT San Antonio's Institutional Compliance/Enterprise Risk Management Program.
Core Responsibilities
- Oversee routine policy reviews and ensure they receive the appropriate level of approval.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate relevant input when developing or revising policy content.
- Manages documentation within the electronic repository to ensure accurate retention of past policy versions and tracking of updates in progress or planned.
- Assists with basic compliance related activities including the facilitation of risk assessments, the development of risk management plans, and the periodic monitoring of assigned risk areas. Assists with basic investigations related to allegations of non-compliance at the university.
- Assists in the facilitation of risk assessments at all levels of the organization (executive, mid-management, and operational).
- Assists with the development of risk management plans to document monitoring, training and reporting strategies in place to mitigate institutional high risks.
- Assists with the development of monitoring forms for completion by each risk area. Assists with the review of monitoring responses.
- Conducts assurance activities which may include on-site inspections/testing and interviews with multiple levels of management. Documents results for reporting to appropriate level of management.
- May assist with hotline investigations, retaliation complaints and other allegations of non-compliance which may include complaints received from the UT system or the State Auditor's office. Assists with interviews and the collection of evidence. Assists with written reports of investigation findings and recommendations.
- Attends continuing professional education seminars.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UT San Antonio and its infrastructure.

- Knowledge of or experience with policy management.
- Decision making and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze situations, collect and interpret data.
- Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with faculty, staff, and the public.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic proficiency in HTML with the ability to edit, update, and troubleshoot web pages in Adobe Dreamweaver.
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient report development and presentation skills using tools in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Additional Information
UTSA is a tobacco free campus. This is a security sensitive position. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check. Working Conditions
Office environment. Work performed on concurrent multiple projects under pressure of rigid deadlines and/or time constraints. May work some evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands
Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary, if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position primarily works remotely in Texas but may work on campus on an infrequent basis (approximately four days or less per month). When an employee is required to work on campus, travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
