As a Construction Electrician Instructor, you'll teach hands-on skills, industry best practices, safety standards, and real-world problem-solving techniques that students will use throughout their careers. Drawing from an established curriculum, you'll work directly with students in classroom and lab settings, helping them build the confidence and competence employers expect.
This position involves mentoring students, providing them with feedback, assessing their abilities, and sharing practical jobsite experience while helping to keep the curriculum up-to-date and in line with industry standards.
You'll also have opportunities to stay connected to the industry through professional development, advisory committee involvement, and partnerships with employers across the region.
No previous teaching experience is required. If you bring the electrical expertise, we'll help you develop the teaching skills. Our experienced faculty, mentorship opportunities, and professional development programs will provide support as you transition from industry professional to college instructor.
If you've enjoyed mentoring apprentices, sharing jobsite knowledge, or helping others succeed in the trade, you may already have what it takes to become an exceptional instructor. This role offers a meaningful next chapter where you can give back to the profession while enjoying a healthy work-life balance.
