Dining Service

Gustavus Adolphus College invites applications for a Cook to join our Dining Service team on campus.

The work schedule for this position is Tuesday - Saturday from 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM.

Employment Type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Non-Exempt (Hourly), and Benefits-Eligible.

Pay Range: $16.50-17.50 per hour

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare menu items including meat, vegetarian, vegan and halal
• Prepare menu items using commercial steamers, convection ovens, tilt skillets, steam kettles, fryers and grills
• Develop unique recipes
• Work with and mentor college student employees

Prerequisites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six months experience in a high-volume dining service or restaurant or other related experience, preferred
