The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training and internal pay comparison. This full-time position is scheduled for 35 hours per week.

The position performs a wide variety of daily tasks required to administer academic programs and events in the Department of Religion (RN), the Muslim Studies Program (MSP), and the Institute for Philosophy and Religion (IPR). Serves as the primary contact and information resource by fielding inquiries via telephone, e-mail, US mail, and in person. Provides administrative assistance to the RN Department Chair, RN Department Administrator, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Director of Graduate Studies, and Department faculty in RN, and Program Directors in MSP and IPR. Coordinates monthly faculty meetings, faculty-grad student gatherings, and special events and lecture series. The position requires excellent writing and organizational skills, interpersonal communication, facility with common computer applications (e.g., Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud), and willingness to learn BUs computing systems (Concur, MyBU) for business and academic planning and management.
Required Skills Associates degree required, bachelors degree preferred. 1-3 year experience preferably in an academic environment.
