Coordinate efforts to apply Federal Work-Study funds for work and internship opportunities in on- and off-campus partnerships. Chair the Hearst Make A Difference, Volunteers In Action ( VIA ), and John Bean scholarship committees, and supervise the Student Volunteer Coordinator. Coordinate the Washington Internship Institute program, including support for student advising, recruitment, and applications, as well as the management of Eimermann Washington Semester funds. Support the planning and execution of the College's Cultural Events Series. Manage external partnerships, contracts, and hospitality for Cultural Events and the Center for Social Impact. Support the Faculty Director of the Center for Social Impact in planning and evaluating programming focused on civic engagement and action-based research. Develop communications, including social media, to promote engaged learning initiatives and community partnerships. Collaborate on assessment, data collection, and strategic initiatives related to high-impact educational practices. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and respectful campus environment while supporting the College's commitment to community engagement, an equitable democracy, and advancing the common good. Education/Training: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred. Experience: Prior experience in engaging with or working directly in non-profits strongly preferred. Higher education and familiarity with college student life issues, particularly around equity and diversity, is strongly preferred. Work experience in community relations, volunteer engagement, event planning, or related areas is preferred. Position Summary: The Office of Engaged Learning at North Central College is committed to the integration of experiential learning into the academic experience of every student. Reporting to the Assistant Provost for Student Success and Engaged Learning, the Coordinator for Civic and Cultural Engagement supports high-impact practices, including Community-Engaged Learning, the Center for Social Impact, and Cultural Events. The coordinator collaborates with faculty and staff, provides administrative and logistical support, maintains program resources, creates internal and external messaging, and assists with assessment and evaluation. The coordinator cultivates and sustains community partnerships while supporting faculty, staff, and students engaged in community-based learning and volunteerism. The coordinator manages partnerships to support NC students in internships with non-profits. This position is integral to cultivating an intellectual, civically-engaged community of learners at North Central College and requires a commitment to community engagement, an equitable democracy, and advancing the common good. Evening and weekend work may be required.
