Our West Campus is located at 2400 Gillionville Road, Albany, GA 31707. Our East Campus is located at 504 College Drive, Albany, GA 31705. The Human Resources office for both campuses is located on the West Campus in Building K, Suite 111.
Job Summary
The Coordinator for Professional Development provides support to the Director of The Center for Teaching, Mentoring and Leadership (CTML) with marketing, logistics and operational functions. The Coordinator for Professional Development applies knowledge and skills to plan, schedule and/or conduct professional development activities independently or with others and serves as the support point of contact and liaison for internal and external customers regarding professional development. In addition, the Coordinator for Professional Development must be knowledgeable regarding the objectives of the STML and maintain documentation to support objective attainment, budgets, and other related reports.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer professional development activities of The Center for Teaching, Mentoring, and Leadership (CTML).
- Provide logistical and operational support through marketing, ensuring the STML web page is current and updated, maintaining the monthly professional development calendar to be posted monthly, announcing and ensuring electronic sign up for workshops and training, announcing, scheduling, researching, and benchmarking Professional Development opportunities.
- In addition, the Coordinator for Professional Development helps with development, collection of data, and analysis of annual needs assessments used to plan annual faculty professional development seminar series and conferences, as well as faculty professional development trainings and workshops.
- Assure all evaluation forms are compiled and summary reports completed, provided for the presenter(s).
- Plans and coordinates special events and visiting scholars as assigned.
- Maintains the operation budget of the CTML.
- Additional duties and responsibilities include: Coordinate faculty development annual schedules. Supporting the faculty/staff conference. Collaborating with Academic Affairs to coordinate the Academic Affairs retreat. Coordinating workshops conducted by the Faculty Excellence Associates, Faculty Workshop Developers. Coordinating the New Faculty and Aspiring Leadership Academies, coordinating Promotion & Tenure Documentation. Maintaining materials and supplies for professional development workshops. Assuring availability of training materials and supplies, providing professional development feedback for continuous program improvement. Coordinating the advisory board meetings. Conducting the part-time faculty training. Assures all evaluation forms are compiled and summary reports completed and provided for presenters. Plans and coordinates special events and visiting scholars as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree required.
Must have experience with developing and coordinating training and/or workshops.
Must have excellent communication skills, customer service skills, and professionalism.
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Detail-oriented, self-motivated.
