Coordinator for Student Athletic Support Services
The Coordinator will interpret, analyze and monitor the academic progress of student-athletes; assess student-athlete overall academic performance and its impact on progress toward graduation and NCAA eligibility; maintain knowledge of all NCAA and University rules concerning academic standing and eligibility requirements.
In addition, the Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the Assistant AD for Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) with the coordination of Student Development and implementation of the Spartan Shield Program. The coordinator will serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A master’s degree, or, a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of relevant experience is required.
- The candidate will possess a passion for the holistic development of student-athletes.
- The candidate must be detailed oriented, have excellent communication skills, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience in student-athlete development, counselor education, teaching or athletic academic advising at the University level is preferred.
