Job Summary
The Coordinator of Student Involvement (Student Union) is responsible for planning, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive campus activities program that enhances student engagement, fosters a sense of belonging, and supports the overall student experience. This role provides direct oversight of campus-wide events, student programming initiatives, and student staff, while advising the student programming board (the Jaguar Production Crew).
Responsibilities
OVERSEE THE RECRUITMENT, ONBOARDING, AND TRAINING: Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of student employees for the Jaguar Production Crew. Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and develop 30+ student assistants and event staff.
PLAN AND IMPLEMENT CAMPUS-WIDE EVENTS: Plan and implement campus-wide events, including signature programs such as Homecoming Week and Student Appreciation Day.
MONITOR AND ENSURE OVERALL INVENTORY, SAFETY, AND FUNCTIONALITY: Monitor and ensure the overall inventory, safety, and functionality of the student center facility.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and one year of work experience in either event planning, education, or a related field.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Experience in organizing, coordinating, and executing events. Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to supervise student staff. Ability to collaborate and develop partnerships with various university departments, faculty, and staff and student organizations.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of the standard business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B7
Salary: $43,888/annually-$45,000/annually
