Reviews and verifies Expense Module transactions, such as
expense reports, travel authorizations, and cash advances, to
ensure accurate processing and reconciliation
Serves as Prepay Auditor within the assigned area. As a Subject
Matter Expert (SME), provides guidance, support, and technical
assistance to employees, helping ensure efficient workflow
throughout all Expense Module stages
Monitors and reconciles outstanding Accounts Payable checks and
supports other A/P functions as needed
Coordinates a variety of Travel and Expense (T&E)
functions, including budget-related issues, unencumbering funds,
and account reconciliations
Provides guidance and training to employees regarding T&E
policies and procedures, including purchasing cards, and promotes
compliance with LSC Travel and Expense requirements
Completes a variety of year-end processing activities for the
Expense Module
Serves as workflow Subject Matter Expert (SME), administering
and maintaining reviewer workflows for the Expense Module and
supporting workflow administration for other modules as needed
Collaborates with HR and Payroll to ensure Travel and
Expense-related employee information interfaces correctly with the
Expense Module. Maintains strict confidentiality at all times
Develops, runs, and analyzes a variety of queries and reports
for the assigned area and administrative offices/departments.
Utilizes queries to monitor expense postings and support GL
subsystem reconciliations

PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to
do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;
carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or
driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to
perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a
Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone, and other general
office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to
carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal
exposure to safety hazards
- Reliable mode of transportation to travel to campus locations
within the LSC Service Area
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience, or an
equivalent combination of experience and education
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related
field
- Experience working with procurement or purchasing policy and
procedures
- Experience with travel and expense report auditing
Salary
Hiring salary range is $48,152 - $55,375.
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted
full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall
in that range is determined by your related experience and
education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star
