Position Highlights
The University of Arizona's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) is seeking a Coordinator of Marketing and Data (Marketing Specialist II) to lead and support a variety of marketing and communications initiatives and advance the ECE brand. The successful candidate will collaborate with ECE faculty and staff to produce departmental magazines, news stories and newsletters, create engaging social media content, and coordinate design of print and digital materials for student recruitment, alumni outreach and public awareness. This position works closely with the College of Engineering's Marketing and Communications team to ensure alignment with college-wide and university-wide strategies and branding.
The ideal professional candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment, have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Regularly gather news/feedback from department head, faculty, and advisors.
- Create ECE social media posts and track engagement.
- Work with the department faculty, academic advisors and Marcom to create and maintain web content.
- Coordinate with the College of Engineering Marcom team and vendors on the production of marketing and event collateral, advertising, videography and photography.
- Produce news articles, print, and digital newsletters and the annual magazine.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong marketing writing and editing skills, practices and techniques.
- Knowledge in digital marketing.
- Knowledge of data reporting.
- Ability to work with diverse team members across multiple departments.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience. Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or Business. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe products.
