Develop curriculum and training for advanced student leaders. Responsible for the planning and implementation of the Undergraduate Intern and returning student staff member programs.
Oversee the recruitment, selection, supervision and training of returning staff members, in addition to managing the recruitment, training and direct supervision of two undergraduate interns.
Support the planning and execution of the one-day student and family orientation programs, Welcome to TU, and the 4-day orientation prior to the start of the semester. This includes curriculum design, collaboration with campus partners, specifically in Undergraduate Admissions and Academic Advising, assessment, and program logistics.
Participate in the planning and execution of Family Weekend.
Perform other duties as assigned.
The work hours for this position will include evenings and weekends on an occasional basis.
Telework may be available for this position up to two days per week following the completion of 90 days of service in good standing.
Qualifications and Skills
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- One year of relevant experience
- Program/event management and public speaking skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in higher education, counseling or a related field
- Previous experience working with student orientation, transfer programs, academic advising, and/or undergraduate admission
