Position Summary
The Coordinator of Business and Events is an administrative and supervisory role that manages key business operations of the Physical Education and Recreation Department. Reporting to the Assistant Director for Business and Events, this position manages facilities rentals and event coordination, departmental business operations, contracts and procurement, and supervises approximately 30 event student staff members.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree AND one year of experience in business operations, administrative support, events/rentals management, or related field; OR
- Four years of experience in business operations, administrative support, events/rentals management, or related field; OR
- An equivalent combination of education/experience.

- Ability to work with diverse populations and maintain professional relationships with staff, students, vendors, and clients
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in records management, document organization, and compliance with retention standards
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to manage client expectations
