Responsible for leveraging local market data and community
relationships to identify potential sponsorship partners through
attendance and participation with local area Chamber of Commerce
and other business-related organizations and events.
Plans and develops presentations to potential corporate
partners and consistently meets required number of weekly/monthly
presentations to ensure growth.
Creates proposals with input from Assistant AD for Corporate
Partnerships, Director of Athletics and potential sponsors.
Regularly engages with corporate partners to coordinate
contract fulfillment.
Analyzes, tracks and reports number of departmental sales
presentations and amounts of revenue pitched on a monthly and
annual basis.
Assists the department of intercollegiate athletics in all game
day and special event promotions, specifically engaging sponsors to
participate and attend these events.
Responsible for working and attending events and promotions
including occasional nights, weekends and holidays.
Assists with and maintains accurate records of all sponsorship
fulfillment activities, including but not limited to in-venue
elements, static and digital signage, promotions, presenting
sponsors, social media, website, ticketing, and parking
components.
Ensures accurate record keeping of all sales transactions;
prepares and monitors invoices, tracks collections, and maintains
accurate financial records to support department revenue
goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Direct supervision of assigned staff.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (comparable
required experience may be accepted in lieu of education on a 1 on
1 basis).

Required Experience:
One (1) year of sales and/or broadcasting/media experience in a
related field and/or professional experience in the sports
industry.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in live television/radio broadcasting, college or
professional sports field.
- Experience in an advertising sales environment, college or pro
sports field.
Equipment:
Use of standard office equipment.
Working Conditions:
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties.
Frequent travel, nights, weekends and holiday work is required.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull
or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is
performed primarily in a general office environment. UTRGV is a
distributed institution, which may require presence at multiple
locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
