Corrective Maintenance Specialist 3
The Facilities Operations Specialist 3 is responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of the Student Life corrective maintenance program. This position applies industry knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to serve as the advisor for building systems and related equipment and processes across Student Life facilities. This position is also a hands-on position requiring mechanical and building systems aptitude coupled with excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills. This position would be responsible for managing 4-6 fulltime staff, including supervision, training, hiring, and coaching as well as developing corrective maintenance schedules, procuring needed materials and equipment, seeking out opportunities to streamlines processes and procedures and working as the liaison for internal stakeholders and vendors.
The Facilities Operations Specialist 3 typically works weekdays, from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, but will be subject to changes in shift, hours, days and/or location as operations dictate. Subject to call 24-hour call in.
Given the level of expertise required, this role will also serve as an informal resource for less experienced colleagues and works on complex projects of large scope. Projects and tasks are reviewed for reasoning and accuracy and may refer to precedents and defined parameters.
Required: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience; 4 years of relevant facilities experience; experience in facilities management; driver's license; ability to lift 70 lbs.; available for 24-hour call in; minimum of 100 hours of training in operating electrical tools and equipment (or 1 month of experience); experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software Systems (CMMS); computer literacy; proficiency in MS Outlook programs; experience troubleshooting, repairing and testing building and mechanical systems, equipment or multiple manufacturer training certificates in related systems.
Desired: 4-8 years of relevant building system maintenance, focusing on corrective and planned maintenance programs; working experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems; universal EPA certification.
The pay range for this position is $70,100 - $91,600 dependent on education and experience.
