Overview
At Saybrook, we believe that counseling faculty should be committed to preparing you to become a competent mental health professional who inspires transformational change in individuals, families, and communities toward a just, humane, and sustainable world. In the Counselor Education and Supervision course at Saybrook University doctoral programme, you will enhance your knowledge of how to support the development of master's-level counseling practitioners. You will learn to actively support counselors in training as they:
- Integrate their “self” as a therapist
- Develop their professional identity as counselor
- Sharpen their ethical decision-making
- Understand how to serve diverse clients and the community

- An official transcript from an accredited university demonstrating successful completion of a master’s degree in counseling or closely related field, with a 3.0 GPA or better
- Professional resume or CV

- Two Letters of recommendation: One letter should be from a clinical supervisor, and the second from an academic adviser or faculty member from your M.A. programme
