Center for Behavioral Health and Accessibility
Full-Time
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling, both in-person and via Telehealth options
- Provide on-call duties for walk-in emergency services
- Complete and maintain documentation (including intakes and treatment plans) in a timely and accurate manner
- Develop and present educational outreach programs for students, faculty, and staff on psycho-educational topics
- Provide consultation services for the Southeast campus community
- Participate and serve as a "Crisis Coordinator on Call" for the University's Crisis Response Team
- Participate in University retention efforts, including Orientation programs, Opening Week activities, and other outreach events
- Attend weekly clinical staff meetings and scheduled work retreats
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling or Social Work
- Counselor I: Eligibility for Licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Clinical Social Worker in the state of Missouri; or
- Counselor II: Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Missouri, and eligibility to provide clinical supervision for graduate practicum and internship students
- Demonstrated ability/experience working with technology needed to provide telehealth services and develop outreach programs that can be delivered both in-person and in online formats
- Demonstrated outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated clinical experience with two or more college mental health issues, including eating disorders, developmental/adjustment issues, sexual violence, substance use, anxiety, depression, or sexual orientation
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and evidence of a team orientation
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and elicit creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential records, adhere to ethical standards, and produce written reports in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to work nights/weekends
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
