Bessie & Leland Speed Counseling Center
Job Summary:
Provide mental health counseling for students; presents outreach and educational programs to the University community to support the mental wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff of the university.
Job Description:
- Provides professional mental health counseling to students in the form of individual, group, and couples therapy.
- Provides crisis intervention for students experiencing a psychological emergency.
- Consults with academic departments and student affairs departments.
- May be involved in crisis prevention, or aiding with adjustment problems after a major life event.
- Maintains confidential records.
Job Responsibilities:
We require:
- 3 years of experience
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or Marriage & Family Therapy
- Licensed in Mississippi or License -Eligible in Mississippi. Must have MS license in hand by first day of work.
