Anna Freud is seeking a Course Tutor (Pg Dip CYP Psychological Trainings) to join our world-leading mental health charity for children, young people and their families.

What you’ll do
As Course Tutor, you will play a key role in delivering the Pg Dip in Child and Young People’s Psychological Trainings, combining your clinical expertise with teaching, assessment and trainee support.
You will:
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of teaching sessions, workshops and tutor groups.
- Coordinate assessment, marking and feedback processes, supporting consistent academic standards.
- Support trainees throughout their learning and help them integrate their training into workplace practice.
- Use trainee feedback to support the continued development of teaching, module content and the trainee experience.
- Work collaboratively with the Programme Director, Deputy Programme Director, modality leads and wider Postgraduate Studies team.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for someone with strong clinical experience working with children, young people and families, alongside experience of teaching or delivering clinical training.
You will have:
- A recognised qualification in a core mental health profession and significant clinical experience working with children, young people, parents/carers and families.
- Experience of delivering clinical training courses and/or university teaching.
- BABCP accreditation and the ability to bring your clinical expertise into a postgraduate teaching environment.
- Strong communication, organisation and collaborative working skills.
- A commitment to fair assessment and high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning.
Key details
Hours: Part-time, 7 hours per week – Mondays or Tuesdays. Some flexible working is possible.
Salary: £53,560 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme.
Location: Hybrid – home and our London site (4–8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH), with at least 20% onsite working. Flexibility is required to attend in-person teaching days during term time on Tuesdays.
Contract: Fixed term until December 2027.
