Position Summary:

Join B. Braun as a Mold Shop Machinist and play a critical role in manufacturing, modifying, and repairing tooling, fixtures, machine components, and assembly equipment that support our production operations.

In this hands-on position, you will partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to fabricate precision components used in automation, extrusion, and injection molding processes that help produce life-changing healthcare products. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced machinist who enjoys solving problems, working with advanced manufacturing technologies, and contributing to a mission that improves lives worldwide.


We are seeking an experienced, hands-on machinist with a background in both manual and CNC machining.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Operating and setting up manual mills, lathes, and CNC milling machines
  • Experience with ProtoTRAK and other conversational CNC controls
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Selecting proper tooling, materials, workholding, machining speeds, and feeds
  • Machining a variety of materials while maintaining tight tolerances
  • Using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, indicators, and gauges
  • Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing effective solutions
  • Performing machine setups and making tooling or program adjustments as required
  • Working independently while managing a variety of machining and fabrication projects
  • Supporting custom fabrication, tooling modifications, and equipment repair initiatives


Responsibilities: Essential Duties

  • Manufacture machine components, tooling, fixtures, jigs, and replacement parts for production equipment
  • Perform machining, layout, construction, modification, and repair of assembly and manufacturing equipment
  • Support engineering and production initiatives through precision fabrication, troubleshooting, and equipment improvements
  • Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, quality, and safety while minimizing production downtime
  • Develop expertise in machining processes, equipment, tooling, and shop operations
  • Document completed work and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to meet operational and project goals
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment to inspect and verify dimensional accuracy

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in machining and manufacturing
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work on-site
  • Ability to work non-standard schedules when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or technical/trade school training in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field
  • Industry certifications related to machining or manufacturing
  • Prior machining or machine shop experience

    This position requires working in a manufacturing environment and includes standing, walking, handling tools and equipment, lifting materials, and operating machinery. Candidates should be able to safely perform physical tasks associated with machining and fabrication work.

Hourly Rate: $30.81 - $36.93 plus shift differential
