Description:
To provide clinical supervision to Creative Arts Therapy graduate students who are completing their clinical practicum and/or internship in the CMHP Clinic.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervises Creative Arts Therapy students engaged in their clinical practicum and/or internship in the Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic.
- Observes students running psychoeducational groups on-site at the Joan and Arnold Saltzman Community Services Center.
- Attends bi-monthly supervision meetings with the Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic Director.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in creative arts therapy.
- Current New York State Creative Arts Therapy License.
- At least 5 years’ experience supervising practicum students and interns in creative arts therapy.
- Experience using Electronic Health Records systems for the purpose of reviewing student clinician’s charts, progress notes, and treatment plans.
Preferred Quals Summary:
Art Therapy Credentialed Supervisor.
